Description

” Birth of the Proton after the Big Bang” shows the bonding of the two primordial forces (positive and negative) at a moment in time creating the hydrogen atom.  In the beginning, about 13.7 billion years ago after the big bang, the universe was extremely hot and as it began to cool, protons, neutrons, and electrons were born.  The simplest atom – hydrogen was born first, and remains the most abundant atom contributing to 90% of all the atoms in the universe.

The numbers of the clock surround the positive and negative forces indicating the birth of a new energy and of time.

Artistically this surrealistic piece shows a spatial arrangement that gives one the sense that big bang is holding up its trophy to the world – just like when Simba was held up by his parents and revealed to all the jungle animals as the future king of the jungle in ”The Lion King” as the Circle of Life” was playing in the background.  The black backdrop provides  a sense of the vastness of space

The red color reflects the heated temperature at the time of big bang and the blue color of the spinning proton, reflects the cooling of the environment.

Philosophically the theme of whole bigger than the parts and “units to unity” is again revisited.  The unification of the forces created something new, unique, and more powerful. The result was not only a union of forces but the birth of electromagnetic forces and motion in space and  time.  It must have been a miraculous, magical, and proud moment when the first magnificent proton was born.
