Hepatic Flexure of the Colon in Blue

A double contrast barium enema performed with X-ray technique shows a normal splenic flexure of the colon (large bowel). The lobular shapes of the haustra are part of the general tubesular shape of the colon.

If we take ourselves on a colonic journey we find a steep ascent to its mountain top position and then an almost 180 degree turn as it begins a steep descent.

Artistically the aquamarine color is peaceful as a background to the beautiful shapes of the colon.
