“Anatomy of Rain in the Sky” 

The sky is a rich resource for the artist.  The art is part of a series that explores the wonderful and weird sightings in the heavens.  It is also a rich resource for moods and inspiration; gray skies, blue skies, sunshine, the rain, sunrise and sunset

In this instance the gray skies of rain bring a gloom but also a bloom .. of life – an essential to all biology.  Rain romps from the heavens.  

Rain is produced when humidity moves between regions of temperature. With enough moisture and upward motion, precipitation falls from clouds which have sufficient upward motion

The art piece is dominated by gray and by falling rain
