Description
A Lion in My Brain using MRI
The artist spotted a male lion in this T2 weighted cross sectional MRI of the brain showing portions of the middle cerebral arteries, third ventricle, temporal horns, thalami and Sylvian fissures.
This image is a slice through the brain using MRI and reveals a strong face with well focused eyes. mIt looks most like the face of a lion, but it could just as well have been a Hell’s Angel on his bike or a mustachioed Viking. The black and white of the left image plays on the theme of gray haired wisdom while the addition of an orange flair provides a sense of youth, agility, and strength.
